Dear Friends of Charlie Thibadeaux,

As many of you know, Charlie was hospitalized twice last year with serious health issues. Due to poor health, she's been forced to leave school, thus losing her Pell grant that was helping support her. This has been very discouraging for her, but even more discouraging have been the related bills that face her as she's trying to get back on her feet. Just this past week her doctor has stated that her condition has escalated.

Charlie hasn't given up hope. She's doing what she can to take care of her physical and mental health, but it's hard when she's not sure she'll have enough food each month due to financial demands that she's not currently able to meet. You may be wondering, "What can I do to help?" A couple of Charlie's aunties have decided to try to channel some of that positive energy into a fundraising effort to help offset the uncovered expenses and loss of income that Charlie has experienced.

$3,000 would create enough of financial stability for Charlie so that she could concentrate on her healing. If all of her friends and loved ones gave as little as $10 each, that goal could be easily reached.

So, there are two ways you can help:

  1. Make a deposit to a special checking account that has been earmarked especially to help defray Charlie's costs. Please mail a personal check made out to "The Charlie Thibadeaux Fundraising Account" to PeoplesBank, 5 South Maple St, Hadley, MA 01035. You can actually send a check to any PeoplesBank and it will end up in the right place. (If you wish to remain anonymous, please write "anonymous" on the front of your check.)
  2. Use PayPal to make an electronic donation. Click on the donate button below to contribute. Funds will be deposited in directly into Charlie's Maverick Maiden PayPal account (Your name will be visible.)
  3. If you would rather make an anonymous Pay Pal donation, click this link (I will keep your information confidential):

With determination, Charlie has overcome many adverse experiences to arrive at a very successful place in her life. She's made the Dean's honor list at her college, has been a steady volunteer at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (COSM in New York), and has been marketing her artistic creations, both at the COSM store and online. You can help her get back on track.

Charlie did not initiate this fundraising effort, but she agreed to let us do it. As you may be able to imagine, asking for help is sometimes hard to do.

Your Support is Greatly Appreciated! - Jade Barker and Sara Wildavsky

Another way to help, let Charlie's other friends know about this page by "liking" it on Facebook. Or direct them to the Charlie fundraiser page.
